Milwaukee 15/32" COBALT RED HELIX™ Drill Bit

MAXIMIZED THERMAL RESISTANCE FOR SUSTAINED DRILLING IN HARD METALS

When drilling through stainless steel or cast iron, heat is the primary enemy of tool longevity. The Milwaukee 48-89-2327 Cobalt RED HELIX bit is engineered to combat thermal fatigue through a specialized cobalt alloy construction that maintains its hardness even at extreme temperatures. By utilizing a variable helix geometry—starting at an aggressive 35° and transitioning to 15°—this bit optimizes chip evacuation, preventing the material buildup that leads to work hardening and premature bit failure. The integration of a 135° split point ensures the bit bites into the workpiece immediately, eliminating the need for center punching and reducing the mechanical stress on your drill's motor.

• / 135° Split Point Tip starts on contact to prevent walking and ensure precision hole placement in hard alloys.
• / RED HELIX Variable Geometry clears chips rapidly to limit heat buildup and extend the life of the cutting edge.
• / 3-Flat Secure-Grip Shank provides a mechanical lock in the chuck to prevent bit slippage under high-torque loads.
• / Enhanced Tapered Web strengthens the core of the bit, significantly reducing the risk of snapping during deep-hole applications.
